The only problem i have with Dave East is on a few songs I heard he him say he's Dominican & he's not black....then I seen an interview where he said his grandmother is half Dominican & half Creole (mulatto) .....which would mean he's less than 25% or like 1/6th Dominican seeing that his father is from Barbados which is like 92% black ...I know a few nikkaz that think being Dominican or Cuban is a race & not a nationality and they use that as a basis to absolve themselves of there blackness they could be darker than akon & will be adamant of their mixed ancestry like there's no black indigenous people on these Caribbean islands

it's self hate, lack of education and lack of awareness...by denying their blackness they think that they get some sort of special privileges and exclusivity but what they don't know is that society doesnt care about that shyt and still looks at all of us the exact same way ....their "Dominican, Not Black" asses are still gonna get harassed by police, still gonna get pulled over for no reason and discriminated against like the rest of us
