Brother most of us know just how bad other Blacks have had it throughout the rest of the world, we don’t think we’ve cornered the market on being victims of WS. We know y’all have had and still have slavery on the continent and have gone through and continue to go through every degradation the rest of us have. The issue is that so many of you act like that isn’t your history when you get here, like it was all majestic and royalty. We all come from the same peasant stock as far as the other races are concerned.
Fair point you're making. But your sample size is way too small to make these generalizations about Africans as a whole. Remember that Africa is made up of 54 countries, with a very diverse cultures and history. Out of those 54 countries only Ghana, Nigeria and Ethiopia have a strong immigration rate to USA. So its irresponsible to let such generalizations about a continent thrive because of a small sample of people who comes from a few countries in the continent. Moreover, the few people who manage to get to USA either come from rich families and thus don't represent the millions of people in their homeland, or they are unique cases who just have a warped view of people in USA because they didn't grow up around them.

Its bad enough we have stereotypes about black people from other races that have crippled our opportunities, so to let these cultural stereotypes within the black community thrive is just sad as fukk as further creates divide amongst us. :francis:

For example: Most people have this belief that Nigerians are tricks, scammers, drug dealers, etc... If you have never been around enough Nigerians you would easily believe that bullshyt. One of the kindest, purest human beings ive ever known in my adult years is a Nigerian breh. I would do a favor for that breh without even thinking twice, and I cant even say the same for some of my family members. If I kept falling for these stereotypes I would have never got the opportunity to form a friendship with him.

He's right, Africans/foreign Blacks get the same energy they put out. These people think they can just come to America and talk down on other Black people like that's okay, nah, that's downright disrespectful and heart breaking. I've never seen CACS from Europe come to America and talk down on the CACS here, why do they feel the need to do that to us?

There you go making generalizations again casting a wide net on Immigrants based on the few people who have managed to piss you off :francis:
You could actually say the same about ADOS, Some black americans go out of their way to shyt on Africans unprovoked because of some per-concieved ideas they have based on hearsay. You think those people dont deserve the energy they put out?

Again, im not saying there aren't immigrants in America who have a warped view of black Americans, but that small group does not justify the kind of energy that should be put out to anyone black not born in America

Above the fray.
Stupid question but is their love for Haitians in Africa?
Do you have personal beef with a Haitian member here?

The intent of the question isn't stupid, the framing of it is, though.

Contrary to what's promoted daily on TLR, countries are full of individuals with unique views about the world. So asking how does a continent of countries feel about a nationality of diasporans is silly.

Across the globe, Black people relate to, and identify with people who they share similarities with. That's why there are so many bi-cultural Black families and children. And that's why Pan Africanism exists and flourishes to this day.

Here is an example involving Haiti and Senegal.

After the earthquake, the country of Senegal took in and sponsored the education of 160 Haitian college students.

(13 Oct 2010) Senegal's president honoured on Wednesday a promise he made to Haitians following January's catastrophic earthquake. A private plane sent to the quake stricken Caribbean nation at the weekend has returned to the capital Dakar with 160 young Haitian students on board who have accepted offers to continue their studies in Senegal. President Abdoulaye Wade was on hand to give them a special welcome.

Pan Africanism flows in all directions. Always has, always will.

What about Botswana that caught your eye breh?

it ranks high as far as the least corrupted African countries..they speak English and it doesn’t seem like it’s too crowded.

I’m looking into Namibia as well. My sister is in Uganda right now but I think she wants to settle in The Gambia. I’ll have to research that place as well.
