I get what he's saying, but let us not forget things like Pride were started by black members of the LGBTQ community. Also a good portion of BLM leaders are LGBTQ and they are on the front lines anytime something funky happens to our community, such as police brutality/murder. Just seems like they are an easy target to attack, without realizing they attack back. Its not like they singled out Da Baby, it was the opposite. Let a white artist get onstage and say "fukk all you white women who are going to go suck black dikk in the parking lot after the show" and his/her career would be over in an instant. Dave is still the king, but specifically going after the LGBTQ community with each special probably won't help him in the long run:hubie:

I think a lot of people miss the point when it comes to Chappelle.

Before his hiatus, he was telling jokes for the fun of it. He realised that people were laughing for the wrong reasons.

You look at his stand up now and as much as people are laughing, you can also feel a mixture of shame and discomfort over their complicity.

Tell me if it’s funny. His last few specials have been trash. I hate how he’s trying to be “anti-woke” but without jokes. I don’t want to watch a 1 hour TED talk about how PC the world is now.

So unless he’s actually trying to be funny this time instead of this anti-SJW crusader… I’ll give it a pass.:unimpressed:

Dave is not funny per say now

He in his George Carlin bag

Look him up if your a young person

His jokes was super political mixed with jokes

He was just talking up there but was God like

Dave is not Mike Epps with one liners or Cedric with dance and music

Or even Bernie with those voice infections you can never re tell his jokes because you needed to be Bernie to tell them

You have too look at it like Dave is like a Nas there is only one of them

I hope that make sense :yeshrug:

I wonder what George Carlin would think....

just saying. Haven't watched the new special yet but Chappelle has been hanging out with some...deplorable people lately...

That’s never been proven, however, the overall point is still relevant. Killing a person should matter more to a person’s reputation and career than hurting someone’s feelings.

He’s slapped a woman on camera, disrespected black children on camera, and had a side baby on his girlfriend. None of that did even a dent to his reputation. As soon as he said something deemed ignorant by a certain community, he lost millions of dollars and became toxic.

Stop punching down on my people?
So what Black people that ain't gay trying to Cancel him now?

People are saying “he’s in his Carlin/Hicks phase where he’s being philosophical”… that’s fine but even then, those guys were STILL funny and told jokes. Being philosophical and being funny aren’t mutually exclusive. Chris Rock does it, Patrice did it and Dave has done it in the past.

Im going to reluctantly watch this but my expectation level has been lowered by this thread. I’m seeing less posts about actual jokes he did and more posts about him “going in.” That’s usually a bad sign if it’s comedy one is seeking.

There’s cameras in walmart and best believe north carolina would love to have a dead nikka and a nikka doing life. Thats a great 2 for 1 in north carolina. Cops would not pass up an opportunity to arrest a black man for murder.
Footage wasn’t used or shown in court. Walmart employee that was a witness didn’t show up :sas2:
