Chappell show is is the greatest sketch show of all time, but Chappelle himself is not even top 10 to me in stand up. i want to fall off my seat laughing when I here someone on stage and there are atleast 15 comedians that have made me laugh harder than Dave to me.

I agree. When I saw him 5 years ago, he was funny for about the first 30-40 minutes and then it was just ok for the rest of the 90 minute set. Ashy Larry was the opener and he killed it nonstop for like 30 minutes

This would be my general position if not for the last 5 years of this man doing and saying weird, right wing shyt while constantly hanging out with MAGA or right wing types. How many threads do we have about Elon being a Boer racist who is clearly stirring anti-black division online. Yet every time something like this happens people pretend like they forgot him and Chappelle are good friends and hang out often. How many times do we mention Joe Rogan has called black people monkeys, constantly flirts with racial IQ pseudoscience and generally is on some weirdo shyt yet that's who Chappelle takes on tour and hangs out with.

Within that context, is it crazy to think that Dave recognizes one of the most visible MAGA pieces of shyt in congress when taking that picture? If Dave was on some "I'm rich and don't want to pay taxes" shyt I'd find that lame but at least it wouldn't be wildly offensive or counter to his previous views/comedy. But he out here hanging with avowed racists and I'm supposed to be fine with that? While telling the same boring ass jokes that never get him "cancelled" which kills the entire point of that shyt.
