That's the tough thing about being a big time comedian in this age, and Chappelle is still the biggest name out there. Comics traditionally like to try out new material at small spots for free for a few months until they find what works for the big shows. But any spot Dave goes to there's gonna be camera phones like crazy and it all goes up on the net within hours. I guess he figured skip all that and get paid for a show polished or not since it'll go global anyway

I wonder how much money he actually has. I mean he wasn't making the big money for the first two season of chappelle's show. the big payout came after the 2nd one. but he walked out in the 3rd season

he hasn't done any movies other than that block party concert movie and he's only doing sporatic stand up here and there. hell, he mad 2 appearances on inside the actor's studio years after he basically quit the business.
