He can. He has before, especially with movies like Rundown, Be Cool, Southland Tales, & even Snitch & Faster.
I think he’s just cool with making the most money as an actor, which I really can’t blame him, tbh.
Who do y'all think is better: the Rock or Batista when it comes to acting?
The Rock CAN act when he wants to. The Rundown, Walking Tall & Gridiron Gang are proof that he can at least be decent with a good script. But then Fast 5 made like $600M with him barely having to do anything out of his comfort zone, so he decided to do the generic, musclebound action guy shyt.
Tista is definitely the better actor by a mile though.
Looks boring. Most of his stuff looks boring.

Yeah, it's not that Rock is a bad actor or anything, just that he's gotten lazy since Pain and Gain and Batista is definitively better. He really worked for it too, so I'm happy for him. I might even check this movie out sometime down the line.

The rock has no range and really can't carry a franchise but he is as close as you can be to a Movie Star as we have had since the 80s and 90s.
Batista is a character actor, his "acting" is the same level as Roddy Piper, which is he is great when he has a great director who protects him, he can give you more pathos, aggression, menace, arrogrance, and comedy in his face than with his speech and thats wider than DeWayne's range. That said DeWayne is more charismatic.
