Not sure if you know. But in the books after the movies the new republic gets invaded by a species from outside the galaxy.

They use totally organic technology. The are religious zealouts. They are also outside of the force. They cant be sensed. They are extremely brutal. They straight up murked everything


Killed my nikka Chewie in the 1st book Han damn near lost his mind.


Killed Han and Leighas youngest son Anakin. he went out like a G tho. Overall they killed like 325 trillion beings. took over Coruscant too




In some of the previous books they mention that the Empire was aware of the threat coming. Thats why they were building so many super weapons. Death Star, etc.

They thought the rebellion was ants but with the help of some damn ridiculous Ewoks they got murked on Endor.


So we never got to see what could have been two destructive and uncaring regimes duck it out.
