Darth maul has a 1-3 record, why is he so overrated

The series developed him.

When he was brought out the depths of depths of despair, he didn’t just behave like a mad dog. He assessed the situation and put a plan in motion.

When the Seperatists were warring with the Republic, he recognised an opening in the criminal underworld. He used that to gain power, took over Mandalor, and killed the woman Kenobi loved.

The problem wasn't his character. It was the strength of his opposition. Kenobi didn't let the death of the woman he loved cripple him. Darth Sidious got off his seat and dealt with him personally.

I feel you, but when you really look at the people that he lost to, you'd realize that he's the David Robinson of Star Wars.

• He Lost to Obi-Wan, who has the best defense of any Jedi in history. I mean, that motherfukker beat Anakin, so you can't fault Maul for his second loss there. He lost the first one because he got cocky, and Obi-Wan used a dark side technique.
• Maul was most likely stronger than Ahsoka, but quite a few factors played into his loss. He held back a bit as well, and he had a transport to catch, so his mind wasn't completely on her.
• Palpatine shouldn't have even been stated. He's quite literally the G.O.A.T sith lord.

Kenobi is Tim Duncan aka Mr. Fundamentals, Palpatine is Kareem, and young Ashoka would've been Alonzo Mourning or some shyt.

Edit: Actually, Maul disarmed Ashoka twice. He could've easily killed her.

Maul is loved because he was fleshed out in the clone wars and rebels. We going to sit hear and act like he wasn’t the king of Mandalorian and basically ended their reign.

So basically Vegeta just killed a bunch of fodder characters that anybody could've killed

All the real villains like Frieza, Android 18, Cell, Buu, and Beerus beat Vegeta's ass mercilessly

He was beating cell's ass until he willingly let him power up.


Sayian's willingness for smoke is unmatched.

Boba Fett was also brought back to life/never died in the original expanded universe.

Same story too, just escaped the sarlacc.

I’m actually happy Disney kept that feature from the original expanded universe.

There is so much potential in those novels and books and comics that was tossed away.

That’s why most of those movies are ass now, and movies in general. When you have an awesome book made prior to a film, the film usually turns out really good. Them straight up ditching all that material was a sign, to me, they weren’t concerned about making quality films...

Maul was a cool character that suffered due to plot. In the novel when Qui Gon and Obi-Wan squared off against him, Qui Gon had doubts that they could beat him, as his skill was that good. Maul had no fear of facing multiple Jedi and was pretty ruthless. In Clone wars he killed Obi-Wan's "girlfriend" right in front of him, and smacked him around again as well. His record in battle is far better than 1-3.
