Preference is not inherently exclusion though. I think people misuse the word 'preference' and try to use it as a catch all excuse for pure 'dislike' and it's not. You can prefer women with green eyes, but it doesn't mean you won't like or date women with brown eyes. You can prefer a girl with long hair but it doesn't mean all girls with short hair are not an option. Saying 'I prefer LS girls' doesn't and shouldn't mean darker skinned women don't stand a chance. When someone says they 'prefer' something I don't automatically assume it means they don't like the other option, just that, all things considered, there is a preferred choice.

People don't know what words mean so alot of people reveal their ignorance without having to. I prefer thicker women who are around 5'5-5-6. That being said I'll fukk with a slimmer chick or a bigger chick if they're attractive.
