yea yea I know this is comic books and the good guys win but a well written Darkseid should be constantly fading superman without a second thought

Yea thats what i dont understand. Darkseid hit him with omega beams before and supes didnt die and be going toe to toe strength wise. i get that supes isnt holding back with him with all the rage n shyt. I was dying when i saw they called him jobberseid on reddit

That's the downside to Darkseid's rise to prominence: creators overuse him and he ends up having to eat a lot of L's as a result. Same thing has happened to Galactus over time.

A properly written Darkseid should be treating Supes like a 20 cent pinata...and the only way to get him off their ass would be a compelling reason to go torment somebody else...which adds a moral dilemma for a boy scout like Supes....which would lead to far more interesting questions and writing

But how can it be bad writing when it happens EVERYTIME. You see what I'm saying. Post Crisis Dseid is Superman's bytch. Like if I created a character that was hyped up but he lost every time to a character you THOUGHT he shouldn't lose to is it really bad writing, or do you YOU just have higher expectations. I'm not comic head so I don't know for sure. But post crisis what has Darkseid done to show he SHOULD beat superman.

Since the 52 relaunch Darkseid got a power boost. Don't know how he'll match up since the Rebirth launch. If DC is smart they'll keep him like Thanos
