the hype for the movie based off TDK got way too big. I said it in the thread in the rec room and got negged to oblivion.

all the gun regulation talk is also useless imo. it'd have to be a binary solution (either yes guns or no guns), otherwise anyone who is determined enough will find a way to get a gun, either way.

that's like saying you shouldn't bother to lock your car, because someone that's determined enough will find a way in. you do what you can to not make it easy for people. sure those with enough determination will find a way, but many more won't find a way, or won't want to deal with the risks involved

eh that comparison is kinda weak. you dont have people with licenses who can legally open your car do you ? besides cops aint no one can open your dam car without your permission without it being a crime.

a better comparison is drugs. a drug addict has no problem finding a supplier in the US, especially those drugs that are legal by prescription or medical usage...

and I agree in general, a determined individual will find guns even if theyre completely banned. BUT when theyre legal or half-legal, it takes far less effort.

my point is that its either complete ban on guns or no change...making an extra hurdle or two is pointless to me because it will just be wasting money.
once you go through the process of acquiring a gun...you can do whatever and no one is really stopping you. also you have no fear of someone finding your gun because its legally yours.

my point was drug addicts are irrational so those people you are talking about arent really who Im talking about. just like this nutcase was irrational. lots of irrational people would do whatever it takes, especially addicts
