The final shot of the film is also my favorite spoiler... No one believes me anyway. I don't know if I should. Now I do sound like a troll, sorry but being questioned and told I'm full of BS is bringing out the worst in me. Here it is my favorite spoiler...


It ends in a cafe, Bruce Wayne is happy and relaxed. He is done being the Batman. He is with someone... A woman. There is not a word of dialog. She turns her head. It's Salina Kyle. Batman and Catwoman live happily ever after. The End. It reminded me of inception when the kids turn to look at their dad.


I could be wrong about it being the very last thing in the movie. There are a lot of bits and pieces that are wrapped up at the end. I'm pretty sure I remember this being the last thing. Read at your own peril... Stay away...

Miranda is Talia Al-Ghul. John Blake's middle name is Robin and it is somewhat revealed he will take up Batman's mantle. Bruce/Bats flies away with a bomb in a self sacrifice to save Gotham while being severely injured. Bruce is declared dead and the final scene is Bruce and Selina in a cafe enjoying peace outside of the public eye.

Long story short, Bruce leaves Gotham, moves away indefinitely. There's always the chance of coming back. He doesn't do this on bad terms, he does it because he's physically and emotionally exhausted, and he needs to get away while his city is rebuilt. If anything, he deserves it, and he's left the city to someone who he trusts - Blake.

Bruce gives Blake the option of being Batman. The cave, the technology, all belongs to him now. It's Blake's choice as to whether he should protect as "Batman" --- of course, that's left ambiguous, and we don't know his choice.

Bruce moves to Florence, Italy. Selina is there waiting for him. They live in peace and happiness.
