They did a mind fukk on the entire planet. I was on vacation and saw some Chinese tourists, they were covered from head to toe in 90 degree weather and all of them were walking around with umbrellas so as not to darken their skin.

They been doing that since before european conquest (got yelled at by my ex for this). Yellow skin is actually pretty pale and it's an indication of hierarchy. If you're dark that means you're a farmer. If anything western culture is getting them into tanning. Japan has already started....
