Finally finished it, I preferred it to season 1.
I would say season 1 has the better overall story and antagonist though, whilst season 2 has the better characters, characterization and development. Karen and Foggy especially were written far better than in the first. I liked how Foggy was his own man instead of that unfunny goofball sidekick they tried to pigeonhole the character into in the first. When he was stepping up to the DA and in the court I was even
Jon Bernthal was great as Frank Castle and the four episode mini-arc is the shows best run, 4 is the best episode of the series. Elodie Yung was also good as Elektra.
Even though some didn't like it and found it to be disjointed, it was smart of them to completely separate the Punisher and Elektra plots. You can't give the really gritty season 1 style to Ninjas without it looking silly and you can't have Castle's tragic origin being tied in with mystical stuff.
Plus people who preferred the first would have been put off it was completely abandoned. Those who liked the really gritty style and darker season 1 tone get it again with The Punisher story, those who wanted something more comicbooky and fantastical get it with The Elektra origin/Hand story, people who don't mind either get both. I still understand why people would be split on in nonetheless.

I liked it all. Punisher and Elektra made the season for me. Both excellent characters and played their parts well..
Especially in the end when Frank came to the rescue... It was perfect.
It was a great show... I'm currently re-watching the series now. shyt was dope... Especially the Punisher
