Season two of Daredevil will be taking things to the next level with the introductions of both Frank Castle/The Punisher and Elektra. According to Entertainment Weekly, we should expect to find ourselves rooting for the violent vigilante when the show begins and he sets out on a mission to take out New York City's criminals. "Viewers watching the show will be rooting for this guy with a gun but we’re also going to force people — the way we force Matt — to second guess themselves," showrunner Doug Petrie says. "Taking lethal justice into your own hands is in America in 2015 is tricky shyt. We have not shied away from the rich complicated reality of Now. If you’ve got a gun and you’re not the police you’re going to incite strong feelings. We’re stirring the pot and we’re aware of the headlines where we live and we’re trying to get people to think."

"He has a different moral code," adds co-showrunner Marco Ramirez. "Matt is a devout Catholic — and you rarely see a character who’s a devote anything on TV. Frank has Hammurabi’s Code. It’s like letting a great white shark into the water." Actor Jon Bernthal also weighed in on what he did to prepare for the role as the magazine seemingly confirms that he won't be sporting that skull logo in a bid to remain incognito. "People have been coming up to me on the streets of New York saying, ‘Do not mess this up,’" the actor said before revealing that he spent months walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to the set of Daredevil in order to get into The Punisher's "isolated and joyless" headspace. "This character has resonated with law enforcement and military. He’s brought the war home with him in the worst possible way. And the best thing about him is that if he offends you, he just doesn’t care." That sounds like a pretty perfect take on the character, right?

Finally, it was revealed that we should expect a lot more sex in Daredevil season 2 as Matt Murdock gets closer to Karen Page and Elektra (Elodie Yung) makes her presence felt in Hell's Kitchen. "Matt’s a deeply moral complicated guy and she’s just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have," Petrie says. "She does everything wrong and attractive, she’s his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He’s both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."

DAREDEVIL Season 2 Images Officially Released; 'The Punisher', 'Karen Page', And More Revealed

Two new official images from Daredevil season two have been released, and as well as an incredible shot of the Man Without Fear squaring off with The Punisher, we see Matt Murdock and Karen Page growing even closer. What will Elektra make of that? Check it out...

The first season of Daredevil was something of a slow burn, with The Kingpin (who isn't expected to appear in season two according to Entertainment Weekly) being slowly revealed and the show making us wait until the finale to see the Man Without Fear suited up. However, new showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez have promised a faster paced follow-up, with the former stating: "The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in. We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f—ing could." There's no sign of that Elektra image just yet, so hopefully a high quality version of that is going to find its way online a little later today. What do you think of this new look at Daredevil season two? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place!

Here we have yet another batch of new images from the second season of Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil. Not only do they give us another glimpse of a very intimidating Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), but also the Man Without Fear in his updated costume. Take a look...

If yesterday belonged to Doctor Strange, this is most definitely Daredevil day! After first glimpses of both The Punisher and Elektra, Netflix has released four more season 2 stills, giving us another official look at former The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal as brutal vigilante Frank Castle, as well as a couple of new shots of Matt Murdock in his updated crime-fighting attire. There's also a pic of Karen Page, Foggy Nelson and Murdock attending church. I think it's safe to assume it's not for a wedding.

The eyes, the way it fits on the nose and horns just look....off. maybe its charlie coxs face just doesnt fit this well but they need to go back to the drawing board and design something else that fits his facial structure.

Sorry but the costume is flat out fukking TERRIBLE :scusthov:

I really wished they redisgned it because I thought it was hilariously bad in s1 and the worst part of it.

The black ninja outfit looks better than this disaster.

Looks like bad cosplay.
Yep, the costume Ben Affleck wore in the 2003 "Daredevil" movie is WAY BETTER.

That costume never needs to be filmed/photographed in bright light because it is hideous.

Daredevil Season 2 to Debut March 25th Against Batman V Superman

daredevilseason2march25th-164685.jpg

It seems rumors of Daredevil releasing earlier this year than it did in 2015 are true. ComicBook.com has learned from independent sources that Daredevil season two will launch on Netflix on March 25, 2016.

If that date sounds familiar and you somehow missed the headline, that's the release date of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, making this debut announcement a firm salvo in the war between Marvel and DC Comics. Daredevil season one launched the Marvel TV/Netflix partnership to critical acclaim, and releasing the second season, which also introduces the Punisher and Elektra to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the same day that WB is trying to build their own cinematic universe for DC Entertainment's cast of characters is clearly a deliberate plan.

It will present an interesting challenge to both pieces of comic book based entertainment. One is 10 hours, and comes at no additional cost to Netflix subscribers, meaning fans can sit and watch it at home. The other is probably 2-2.5 hours, and costs an average of $9 a ticket (plus involves heading out). Die-hard fans of both sets of heroes will likely make time for both in opening weekend, but more casual fans could be affected, potentially choosing one or the other.

This isn't the first instance of these "release date wars" between Marvel and DC. After DC/WB had announced a release date forBatman v Superman of May 6, 2016, Marvel went ahead and announced the same date for Captain America: Civil War, with the first weekend of May traditionally being the debut of a Marvel-related movie for the last decade or so. DC/WB blinked first in that game of chicken, bumping their release up by five weeks.

Marvel TV had no comment on the reported release date.

It most likely ducktales but if it was true talk about pedantic journalism. Conundrum? Shyt is on Netflix and can be binge watched anytime. The only reason not to watch BvS first is if you work at night
