The meat and potatoes are still the comics though. Daredevil, Kingpin and etc aren't made from scratch, they're based on their comic persona's. The comics give leverage to deviate, do an undo, or not deviate at all.

Let's be honest.
This show is separate from the MCU again.
Thunderbolts has The Sentry attacking/destroying NYC in the same City which Kingpin in the mayor.
Kingpin now has a private Army and enacted Martial Law which would force Sam Wilson to get involved.
What Kingpin did in the last episode was way too big to be contained to Daredevil characters/street level. It was essentially what Bane did in The Dark Knight Rises.
We don't know when the Thunderbolts film takes place.

There's no way what The Sentry (who they are calling the "world's greatest threat") is doing in NYC wouldn't effect ALL of these characters.
The show is no longer contained to just Hell's Kitchen anymore.

Binged it these last 2 days. This is good. Didn’t feel like the Netflix version nor didn’t have a Disney vibe to it. The violence and cussing surprised me, but not as much as the Commish getting got. 
Watching Lil Tony Soprano become Kingpin’s somewhat of an understudy was something to see.
I didn’t like the DD costume. That’s my only complaint really. Charlie never lost a a step as the character.
Was dope to see the Pun logo used like it’s been IRL. I know they changed the logo in the comic, and they kinda did it here, but not drastic like the comics version.
It’s been a long time since I saw the OG series, so I missed the Easter eggs. The white painting with blood on it was something I had to look up. I remember the white painting, but forgot how it got the blood on it.
Dudes hating on this is surprising.

To be fair one of the key points to The Sentry/The Void’s story. Is that The Sentry removed himself from everyone's memories including his own to defeat The Void. Bro literally erased all knowledge of his existence. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the same shyt happens in The Thunderbolts. But we’ll see the mcu could do something different.
