I thought it was Disney who chose not to renew their licensing with Netflix because they knew they had Disney+ coming.

Its one thing to recast a dead actor. (honestly i think they would be better off with an in universe explanation still. they pulled an alternate version from a different timeline or some shyt) But recasting just because you want a different actor they shouldn't do at all.
