This is the same core story as Daredevil season 3 which started off with Murdoch depressed someone he cared about had been killed (Elektra). He had also quit being Daredevil. Fisk was also telling everyone he was a changed/reformed man and wanted to clean the City of crime to clean up his past acts.
It did not take half a season for Murdoch to suit up again or for Kingpin to drop his act and actually be Kingpin. Now unless y’all are telling me Season 3 of Daredevil was “ADD” and now trash which would be funny because y’all were calling it a GOAT/best season before this dropped

This show lacks good supporting characters
But the run of Daredevil that this is adapted from is him out of the suit, A LOT, like the majority of the time. It's mostly Matt's life, crushing Matt's world, and as a result, Matt somewhat shunning being DD. And it's considered one of, if not the best, run of modern times. The late 90s through late 00s DD runs were like 75% Matt Murdock, 25% DD...which seems to be the adaptations Netflix and now this are going with. They probably figured the tone - gritty realism, very little superhero-isms - would pacify the general modern comicbook audience.

I've been one of the most critical people of Disney since their god-awful shows for the MCU first came out.
I am no shill for the mouse and they have put out abysmally awful television shows for the last 3-4 years.
You can have your opinion and you're perfectly entitled to it I think the show is doing perfectly fine and it's exceeding or meeting the exact expectations I've had. It literally and not nitpicking the show is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.
The dialogue is great. To me.
The show is dark they're letting the characters be rated R like they're supposed to and the story engaging.
I understand hating on Disney and rightfully so for the moves they made recently is the end thing to do but I also give credit where credit is due. I'm enjoying this show on its own merits.
Fisk is 10 times better than he was in Hawkeye and Echo

That is the kssie with this show. The boys suffers from this too.
Making it unwatchable for me as well. Where in premise both heros of rhe boys are simps. At least to matt's favor. Mstt was never so gone in the head wack as the boys is. Yet snd still through both shows trying ro emulste court drama tv. They both lose in watchability and adaptation. From to many similiarities to those show's template. Instesd of sticking to what makes those comics those comics as an ip.
In regards to daredevil though.
Daredevil as a comic was never popular. being to court drama based. Nor was the runs. Where celebs. or editors hack to be. Took over.
to over process the scope snd direction of the title. Before, during and after.
the fall of comics from the 90's boom.
