Dare I say, New Jack City is just as classic and great as Goodfellas

Great acting, great directing, great story, memorable characters, quotes for days etc.

The reason I'm comparing the two or rather drawing a relation to the two is because both dealt with this group or a "family" of people who were close knit and had their own way of doing things on their own time and in both movies the endings didn't pan out they way any of the characters could have ever imagined.


But I think New Jack City is a lot more classic than it's given credit. I know it's viewed by many as a great "Black" film but I'd say it's up there with Goodfellas and by far better than Scarface and Carlito's Way.

Nah B. New Jack is a hood classic but Scarface and Carlito's Way is better and is not touching Goodfellas in acting, or calling classics. New Jack got quote for days tho

Yes, great acting.

Snipes, Van Peebles, and Nelson were excellent, T was great as was Rock, Payne and everyone else. No one was out of place.

And I just watched it for the one thousandth time last night.
