I'm tempted to agree with @Reies Tijerina

Canelo been fighting around 155 for a while now.
And been rehydrating to 170 ever since the Austin Trout fight.

I don't think people can claim he's too small.
Not buying that.

:francis:

I get all the other reasons why he won't fight GGG.
The draw.
The money split.
The risk.

But come on.
GGG just fought at 159 two weeks ago.

What weight did Canelo win the belt at? 155 right?:jbhmm:

Has he ever weighed in higher than 155 in a fight? No:jbhmm:

Has Canelo ever faced a legit Middleweight in his career? No again huh?:jbhmm:

GGG is willing to face someone at 154 though right?:jbhmm:

155 is Middleweight right?:jbhmm:

Well then, when in Boxing history has the B-Side (GGG) not have to give in to the A-side's demands in order to receive a career high payday and get the opportunity to face the biggest named opponent of their career...especially when it's still within the weight division limits?:jbhmm:

You play by the A sides rules

I ain't a Canelo stan at all

Canelo bowed down to Floyd N drained himself to 152 cuz he said some shyt in an interview 2 yrs before that

Canelo bowed down to Cotto even tho he didn't have to just to make the fight

NOBODY can then say shyt to Canelo when he's in the Drivers seat N wants things his way now

GGG said 154-168 ANYBODY can get it but now wants to "bu bu bu but" N not bow down to the Aside

It doesn't fukking work that way... errybody before him did what they had to do to make the big fight...but this 34 yr old goofy nikka that hasnt fought NOBODY, did a pathetic 97k in ppv wants things HIS way :mjlol:

Oscar De La Hoya was the WBO Middleweight Champion, "beat" Felix Sturm at the full 160 limit for the belt, then asked B-Hop (The Man at Middleweight) to face him at a 157 catchweight which was a weight Hopkins had never fought at. B-Hop agreed to it.....and then he weighed in at only 156 for the fight, and went on to KO ODLH.

If B-Hop can do it as a 39 year old (drop to 156 to face ODLH for his career high payday and to unify the division), why can't a 34 year old GGG do it?:jbhmm:

The only strong argument you have is that since Canelo is champ and does better numbers...he can dictate that GGG come down to 155.

BUT....

Let's not pretend that it's some kind of stretch for Canelo to fight at 160.
Because it isn't.

That's all I'm saying.

Theres a big difference in preparing your body to make 155 then preparing your body to make 160...don't matter what you rehydrate to

That's an extra 3-4 pounds of muscle Canelo can put on...that's extra days extra hrs working more on boxing N conditioning then losing weight...that's being able to eat more N feeling strong while training

Because he doesn't really have to. Its that simple. Doesn't matter what anyone else did. Trip thing is, now Canelo is saying Gololvkin has to earn his shot.:mjlol: Thats one shook ass dude.

And if he doesn't wanna fight under Canelo's rules, then he can KIM while taking the WBC Championship, and still be considered...at best...the #2 Middleweight in the world.

With or without the WBC belt, Canelo is THEE MAN aka #1 at Middleweight + the biggest draw currently in the sport. It'll be Lil g's loss.

Again, I fully believe Canelo himself would do 160, but Golden Boy utilizing the politics game and rightfully so.

GGG wins the fight whether at 155 or 160 so I hate how they are tryna dictate the terms

Canelo would be the one taking the most flak here. Doesn't matter if hes the draw or not. Nobody is having three fights in a row at a catchweight in the same division. And nobody is going to call that person the best in that division either when they refuse to fight at the actual limit. "But but he calls the shots though". In reality, not online, most people don't care about that. But people will say, "why does this guy fight at this division if he never wants to fight at the full limit?"

You do know that Canelo with or without the WBC Championship is the Lineal Middleweight Champion right?:usure:

Without actually losing in the ring, he remains THEE MAN at Middleweight even if he drops the Belt....and you know what you can do about it?

Nothing:umad:
