I just looked it up

the last 5 ties have happened in November around this time period. :leon:

since the 1974 rule changes, the Eagles have played in the most ties with 4.

I don't know of a serious NFL fan that doesn't know the game ends in a tie after a full OT with no points scored. I guess I can give players fresh out of college a pass for possibly still having the mind set of playing multiple-OT's, but still after being in the league for more than a year you need to know this shyt.

:wtf:

And I've never seen my team end a game with a Tie, so I can't use that as a reason why I know ties exist in the NFL. It's common fukkin sense really.

When it happened to Donovan, a bunch of players said that they didn't know. I think it was around half of them didn't know there were ties. People still were shytting on Donovan but I bet less than half of those idiots knew beforehand.

:russ: at these guys that play the game and don't know anything. This is why football usually has the highest percentage of coaches that never played a game. :laff:

They need to get rid of this horseshyt like they do during the playoffs...let them nikkas play all fukkin day if they want.

:childplease:

It makes sense for the playoffs since 1 team is guaranteed to not be playing the next week. This makes no sense when teams still have other games to play. This isn't basketball, injuries are real.

Because it's their profession :mindblown:

A player needs to know that a game can end in a tie because it's their profession? What function does knowing or not knowing that information serve? Did your opinion of Amendola's ability to carry out his job change once you found out he didn't know a game can end in a tie? Does the fact that multiple players come out and say they didn't know games can end in ties make you feel the league is full of unprofessional players? It's not a big deal. It's a stupid talking point that gets brought up every few years when a rare tie happens. A coach not knowing would be a bigger deal as they're the ones calling the plays and managing the clock. The media jumps on this because they firstly just want something to talk about, but also because any chance they get to subtly suggest that athletes are stupid they'll take it.
