So why give him an extension if he was worn down from coaching? They could have easily just gave him an extension when transitioning him into the new role. You legit had this dude out here wasting a year of time with players knowing that his heart wasn't into it anymore.

This report makes it look even worse on all parties involved.

ain't this fraud like 42 worn down :dahell:

Mark Jackson will be the Celtics next coach.

and you Know Stevens getting Marcus Smart the fukk outta there.

Mark is never coaching again because as soon as a tweet goes out saying he's finalized a deal his comments on gays are popping back up and the league can't handle that. That ship has long sailed and he should consider himself lucky them alphabet boys haven't stopped him from calling games.

Lloyd Pierce/Jason Kidd aren't the names you should be thrilled about if you're a Boston fan, Nate has them boys up 3-1 right now. They would've been in the lottery with Pierce. And what kind of acumen has Brad shown to be pres of ops? Idk what y'all got going on over there.

The pump fake jokes are always funny, but lets look at the facts since he broke up the big 3 up until Horford, Kyrie and Gordon left:

2013: Traded Doc Rivers for a 2015 1st (RJ Hunter) - Bust, but still got a lotto ticket for his coach
2014: Drafted Marcus Smart - Win
2014: Traded Dwight Powell and Rondo for Jae Crowder, a 2016 1st (Guerschon Yabusele) and a $13 Million trade exception - Coin Flip
2015: Traded Jeff Green for a 2020 1st (Aaron Nesmith) - Early, but definitely a Win at the time)
2015: Traded Marcus Thorton and a 2016 1st (Skal Labissiere) for Isiah Thomas - Win
2015: Drafted Terry Rozier - Win
2016: Drafted Jaylen Brown - Win
2016: Signed Al Horford - Win
2017: Signed Gordon Hayward - Win
2017: Traded Markelle Fultz for Jayson Tatum (1st for 3rd) and Romeo Langford (2019 1st) - Win
2017: Signed Aaron Baynes and Daniel Theis - Wins
2017: Traded IT, Jae and Collin Sexton (2018 1st) for Kyrie Irving - Win, even thought Kyrie didn't work out.
2018: Drafted Robert Williams - Win

Like, I dunno what people expect out of a GM, but I don't see a lot of fails in there. Hayward got hurt, left for more money, Hordford left for more money, and he cashed in on Kyrie who chose not to stay. I get not being thrilled with how he tried to build this roster around the talent exodus, but that's a pretty baller track record in my mind.

The point is he doesn't make a trade unless he's outright robbing the other party(ies) involved. He knew that the team as currently constructed couldn't win a chip and did nothing about it.

Yeah this announcement does look funny after the C's had the season they had. I never thought Brad to be a bad coach, I think he's been one of the best coaches in the league since he came in. Plus we don't know how he's gonna be as a GM.

Lost Horford for nothing
Lost Hayward for nothing
Lost Kyrie for nothing

Sat on picks with hopes on landing a big star that never happened.

i'm a sixers fan so have no incentive at all for Ainge to be good
but the narrative on here that he's a trash GM is weird as hell.
if he's trash than 95% of the GMs in the league must be trash too, ever tenure ain't going result in a dynasty of chips
I'd take dude over Elton Brand, the Colangos, Ed Stafanski, Billy King and the other trash gms we had
