If its announced on TMZ and other mainstream publications I doubt its a swerve. WWE honestly doesnt even do shyt like that no more.
Its pretty much down to the contract. He wanted to get out but they froze it and pretty much are gonna keep it until the thing runs out
I expect he'll comeback to wrestling once his contract with WWE runs out and work with another company but until then it is what it is.
Dude's 2013-2014 run was legendary though and that Wrestlemania build was one of the better things to happen in the modern era, got me back into Wrestling. HIm and Punk and the reality era that it was could have been the 3rd chapter of WWE renaissance but the ball wasnt quite in their court.
Heck of a run and props to him for doing the most with the obstacles given.
