Lol! Dawg, this is a pretty shyt post. I used to laugh when you said it because it was funny but if you trying to be serious, this is a terrible post. Goff can play. He is not a franchise player yet but he can be one of the best in the NFL. Ain't no coach can make a QB look great. A scheme can and that's no knock on the QB, you got to have the skills. No scheme can make Gabbert, Bortles or Trubisky look good. You got to be good breh
Blake Bortles was just signed by the Rams. You better hope Goff don't get hurt so we don't see this theory get tested.
I got a feeling Bortles will do just as well as Goff in McVay's system.
I truly believe there is little separating Goff and Bortles. You can get mad all you want but that's what I truly think.
Football is a sport where coaching and scheme can make a huge difference. Sean McVay is the one who reads the defenses and tells Goff where to throw. Sure Goff has better arm talent than Bortles. But when your coach is telling you before the play where to throw, it makes a huge difference.
The reason Goff looked like trash in the Super Bowl is cause Belichek took that away. He didn't have his defense getting into their actual formation until the snap. That's what made Goff look like a deer in headlights in the Super Bowl. Belichek actually forced him to read the defense post-snap and then determine where he wants to throw the ball. Goff is not a good enough QB to do that.
We'll see if other teams start to copy the Patriots scheme. It might be hard to duplicate cause the Patriots are so disciplined as a team. To time up the snap count to your true defensive formation takes a very disciplined defense moreso than one with great athletes all over the place. Most of their success is predicated on how disciplined their players are in executing the scheme.
Because agents are paying Kiper, McShay, Mayock, Glazer and others to hype these guys and teams think that other teams might be seeing something they don't.

You can when you’re getting lined up as soon as the ref puts the ball in play and you still have a connection to your HC’s headset until 14 seconds left in the playclock... McVay was playing Madden all year until the super bowl when the old head figured that BS out and aligned in a base defense until that headset connection was cut off the ln jumped to the defense they wanted to run. Goff has some talent yes, but in terms of making post snap reads, going through a full field progression against all the moving parts and pressure facing him he isn’t good at it at all (played for an Air Raid coach in Sonny Dykes where he was never asked to make these type of reads). Give credit, major credit for succeeding with a mentally deficient / talented arm QB this year these past couple years (sound familiar?
) but when Goff has to get paid and that talent is depleted because of salary cap we’ll see what type of QB Goff is or progresses tosupertrekker
