D-Bry doesn't need to lose the beard to get moved up the card. WHEN he starts getting main-event level feuds again, he will be booked as a scrappy underdog face regardless. They can continue having him do comedy promos, because he's been doing comedy promos ever since he won the world title a couple years ago.

Comedy doesn't belong in the main event. In small doses, sure. But main event programs have a realistic edge to them. They are more like sporting events than midcard programs. Two dudes fighting for a world title.

Bryan can be the scrappy underdog without the beard. That beard will just be a comedic distraction in a program that doesn't need, and shouldn't have, comedy.

- Oakland A's star Josh Reddikk has shaved his beard, ending his beard off with WWE's Daniel Bryan. The "beard off" began in March, when a fan brought up the resemblance between the two. Bryan issued a challenge for the beard off on Twitter and that is how it all started. The below image of Reddikk was taken Saturday prior to the A's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
