It's not about the color.. It's the culture. Go and watch a video or read on how Haitians are treated in Hispaniola by dominicans. They took on the spanish "superiority" as it related to the french colonizers on either side of the island. That culture is sick till this day.

There's even a difference between American Black English Speakers and "british colony" black english speakers.
They have more in common with Spanish black "mixed with white" people due to the European Colonial HYPERdescent system present in The Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America.
