The staff knew of the talent. They were just hell bent on bringing in big namesthe lakers scouting staff has to be sick if all the young guys they scouted ball out for other teams like randle/dlo
we just got worse. and DLO was trending upwards, no need to make this move now. rookie gm move
They were all wrongI'm not the biggest fan of Russell but I was willing to give him a chance to show something next season.
That said, it's clear D'lo fans are living in their own bubble about his potential because the outside world from scouts, coaches, GMs, players, talking heads etc are not feeling him like that.
Bron is great but I've always been a fan of patience. Would of liked to see the Zo/Russ/Ingram line up play out. As others have said tho Magic & Pelinka stuck in the you can only build with big names. When GS has proven drafting & letting your players grow works. He would be the main piece of the trade, but if he was here, we can easily keep one of Ingram, Kuzma, or Lonzo so that would have been great.
If your up in the stands, the second someone walks up and down the stairs, the entire sight line of the court is gone. shyt sucksPeople always say they love barclays or hate it ..never any in between. I like it..aint a bad view in the house
It mainly came down to the Nick Young situation. One of the dumbest trades in recent history. It's not like D'Angelo was on some Lonzo level of bust he was playing well but Lakers really thought they were getting big time free agents that summer.
The Lakers did not like D'Angelo. I think he would have been gone even if they weren't trying to clear cap space. You know it's bad when the Lakers allow their local media to talk shyt about a player.
Thanks guys
Regards,
Kenny Atkinson and Sean Marks
Whats crazy is I think that Brooklyn is considering offering him the bag and he might take it to stay. Dude is getting better and better each game.
