He should shoot for a more realistic goal of 1 million buys. If they promote it for months and give them the spots on ESPN Fox and NBC sports channels they could push some numbers. But no way will they see 2 million PPV buys. And to get to a milly they are going to have to have a strong co-main event fight.
If you think Vince is delusional at almost 70 years old, Dana is on some other shyt. I don't think it does higher than maybe 500K give or take. Ronda fans don't know who Cyborg is nor does the casual UFC fan.

undercard (UFC 184).This fight can potentially hit a million, although 800-900k range is more likely. 2 million is a joke though.

For the UFC to hit 2 million they would need Brock, GSP, Anderson and Ronda on the same card.

Brock is the biggest draw in MMA history. Since winning the title, he easily averaged over a million buys per fight. He was also one of the most overrated fighters in the sport.
The only fighters who were doing numbers are gone now. GSP, Lesnar are retired, Jones is suspended, Silva is out. Ronda is their bread and butter at the moment so I understand why Dana is talking reckless

The fact that Dana is banking on a fight between two chicks to be UFC's biggest event speaks volumes about how mediocre his product is.
Ronda has everyone's interest though so hating her for being a female draw is counter productive

Jones vs DC 2 should be big. Have Ronda on the card and another championship on the line. With punk opening up the ppv. That probably would get 2mill

Side note: Brock wasn't "overrated" persay he was a beast in college and had undeniable strength and agility for a guy his size. Yes his chin was suspect but he only really lost to a steroid overeem after his injury that had him out at least a year and Cain who has been basically untouchable with only the 1 jds blemish. He just got into the sport at an older age

I think the fact that he didn't go in with a bunch of striking/bjj training under his belt only makes his run more impressive.
I personally loved seeing him beat Frank Mir to a bloody heap after Frank basically said he didn't know how to fight

He did also lose to Mir forgot about that but yes he def didn't train on his striking or bjj probably didn't even know what bjj was lol. And he didn't work on his stamina. I think he had the mindset that if he got a hold of you he would Zangief you and that's all he needed.
