I believe you. Richard Clarke, the counterterrorism czar canceled his staffs' August vacation because he knew something was up. Like I said I think it was a collective closing their eyes and saying "nananana." Those motherfukkers were determined to invade Iraq. Just read the Project for a New American Century literature.
I never believed that as vast as the U.S. intelligence and national security apparatus is, that 9/11 was somehow this lightning strike unpredictable event out of nowhere. What's really disgusting is how after sticking their heads in the sand, they took zero responsibility and threw the intel agencies under the bus.
Bush gets heat for Iraq, Katrina and a lot of other things, but I've long held that falling asleep at the wheel in the wake of 9/11 is on par with anything he did. It's not that they didn't prevent it, it's that they did nothing. It wasn't even on their radar.
Clinton fukked up too, but he tried and was cognizant if Al Qaeda. And when he did missile strikes in Afghanistan, Repubs said it was Wag the Dog. And they turned over massive intel and an anti-Al Qaeda plan to the Bush people in the wake of the USS Cole bombing. They did nothing.
I firmly believe that if Gore was President 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Iraq definitely would not have happened. And neither would the resulting astronomical debt and deficit due to fighting two wars while cutting taxes and establishing the Medicare part D entitlement program without trying to pay for it. Which led to this "grand bargain" bullshyt where they're probably going to cut Medicare and Social Security. That's why anybody talking this "all presidents are the same, Democrats are the same as Republicans" shyt should be powerbombed through a table.

I swear people give rich / wealthy people too much credit. These a$$hole aren't that smart, nor they spend the major of their days plotting on how to f*ck over the masses.

Project for the New American Century was a think tank funded to develop strategies that can be executed to ensure America's domination of world in the next century. In the perverse minds of people like Cheney and other neo-cons, they don't see their actions as malicious or evil, they probably see their actions as benevolent. Protectors and defenders of liberty and freedom. The dirt that they commit can then be rationalized as a necessary evil needed to defend a population who is too naive and too weak to accept the necessary actions that must be taken to protect freedom. With this mindset, i think anything is possible. These new information has made me reconsider the events leading up to 9/11.
Do I now think it was an inside job? No. What is most probable is the neo-cons purposefully ignored intel warnings from the intelligence community in hopes that something would happen which would then provide the basis or justification needed to go into the ME. In light of these new revelations, I think it is more than mere incompetence as i believed earlier that led to 9-11, it is at the very least, negligence of the highest order.

if you'll remember there was some random dude on there that was pretty specific in what he was saying about attacking and such. I always assumed "someone" looked into that butperhaps it would have been more prudent to send that to...someone.
But yeah i remember that shyt and every 9/11 it makes me wonder. Ol dude (i cannot remember his screen name as he was pretty new) was VERY angry and very aggressive in what he was saying. I mean he literally was like "yeah there's an attack coming in the next few months DIE DIE DIE."
