Let's get a moment of clarity here. There's a reason Yvette got labeled MAGA and a Trump supporter it's because she didn't close the door on trying to work with the republicans for tangibles. Shirley Hussar who was mentioned in the NYT article is a black republican/Trump surrogate and early ados supporter who was clicked in with Omorosa and told Omorosa about what was called just DOS at that time in 2017.

Once Yvette saw Trump was going to gut everything including HBCU's, her and Tone gave up on that angle.

They are not pressuring the democrats out of party allegiance and idealism, they are doing so because it's the better route given that there's existing black infrastructure and a few dems who actually support reparations

Tone and Byron’s assocation goes back to Byron funding a event for Black American attorneys in Cali a few years ago. Byron is cool with a lot of attorneys out there. I don’t think Yvette knows Byron like that.
