Points he raised:

wheres the backlash to the Revolt conference? :patrice:

Why all the points about "people not having money" when he wants to do his own thing? :patrice:

is ADOS a political organization or a lineage? How can it be both?

is Byron Allen just bag chasing?

I completely disagree with his view on "not downvoting" on the ballot. Voting democrat is a must IMO if only for the courts if you cant find other motivations: :francis: https://www.thecoli.com/threads/you...ll-own-white-only-courts-for-40-years.733199/

There is not a mass amount of ados applying for higher level degree programs in universities. About 69% graduate high school. Of that only 36% of ados youth will attempt to attend some type of college and of that only 42% make it to even graduate. Ados are not being rejected from stem and PhD programs in exchange for non ados blacks. Cause The number for blacks in general in these programs are low across the board and you still need the grades to qualify.. there is not a quota or limit on blacks. If there are 100 spots and 5 go to non ados.. should your beef be with the 5 or the other 95 that went to cacs?
The educational pressure put on continental Africans and Caribbeans by family is insane. Law, Engineering, medicine is pushed hard as fukk. Parents gotta be able to brag about their kids at functions. Plus the pressure to send money back home to help extended family so you can't be majoring in some bullshyt. Non ADOS look at college different. You trying to make the maximum amount of money you can.

Above the fray.
The logic of thinking black immigrants were taking AA resources was always faulty cause black immigrants are a relatively small group compared to other immigrant groups like Hispanics which benefit the most from broad "minority" programs. Plus with things like affirmative action white women and gays were the main beneficiaries. It was always misguided and misplaced energy. But black immigrants are the easy targets cause they are afraid to go at Hispanics and whites directly.

And I'm not defending Yvette or tone. They are complicit and had no problem with associating with Tariq when it benefited them when they knew all the vitrol he was spewing and never denounced it. They only have a problem now that he is targeting them directly. Now they wanna call all of it out and act righteous.

The timing of the hashtag push coincided with Kamala Harris' campaign being launched, so they naturally used that to bolster what they were promoting. Like I wrote in another thread, Republicans noticed it, and used that to their advantage to help get Kamala out of the paint. Trump's son even publicly commented on it

"Oh, Kamala is not African American? wow" Anti-Kamala sentiment fueled the early energy behind some of this stuff, if we go by the commentary on this forum at the time, and the videos made by the youtubers.

Also, I think the academic and wealth numbers of Black immgrants has been used by right wing groups to try to say that there exists some flaw in AA culture. Prof. Darity and others countered that narrative, and pointed out that lasting legacy of torture and discrimination against AAs in this country has to be addressed and remedied. The stats about Black immigrants highlights the needs for reparations for AAs according to some of what Prof. Darrity has written. He's a serious academic trying to affect policies and laws. Youtubers are entertainers/infotainers trying to garner support from a mass audience. Their approaches are going to be different. YTers, I guess, felt that they needed to distort the facts about the Black immigrant population to gain wide support for the hashtags and the push for reparations. Rally against the "common enemies".

Again, we pointed this stuff out on a case by case basis, and because people were seeing red..some of them ignored the blatant contradictions and lies.

full fledged propaganda....which also used actual footage/posts of prejudiced Africans/Islanders saying vile things about AAs as "proof" that everybody from all those islands and countries feel that way.

Somebody pointed out last night that the use of an actual action/comment by a member of a group, to extrapolate and paint all members of the group that way is straight from the white supremacist handbook.
