absolutely stupid. every time i see them now we bump heads over this. $20/hr might not seem like much in the bay area but they were able to provide for themselves and now they're worried about having no income because they wanted to take time off to collect money while not working smh.

um no...most people didn't turn down their previous jobs you idiots...they either were furloughed and then it transitioned into them being LET GO. because the company wanted to save money and have less staff to pay, being that businesses are hurting too.

you guys are extremely out of touch, you guys act as if most people could have went back to their jobs or something and they said "nah" and wanted to stay on unemployment; literally the majority of people are smart enough to go back to their jobs because they know unemployment isn't permanent. Stop trying to find ways to convince yourself you're superior lol holy shyt.

most people I knew that lost their job and are smart didn't just take a shyt job, they'll use this as an opportunity to look for a good gig or a better one, or build something else.

I swear we need an IQ test to post on here. I work as an event manager and my side hustle is a hip hop concert manager/promoter. I was supposed to have a show the day my state shut down. Both of my industries are dead. Luckily my folk own a business and we’re able to hire me.

The only “quick and easy” jobs you can get are in the food industry. And they’ve been shut down every other week.

I have a college education. No grocery store is going to hire me, let alone in a pandemic. I swear y’all don’t go outside there’s no way.

these kids don't work any actual cool jobs of any sort where you could make money, likely never have. So they can't comprehend how much bullshyt it is to ask someone who was doing the work you were doing, to suddenly do some menial fukk shyt. That's because their jobs are menial fukkshyt except it just pays better, so working a grocery store doesn't sound so bad when you work at a cubicle. both are souless.

I’m sure brehs are super excited to have been making 60-70k now applying to go bag groceries.

Real rap, if I lost my shyt, I would be worried they would tell me I was overqualified. There is zero chance I dont bounce when I get a call back in my field and having spent most of my work years in retail, you really can get fukked unless you grovel.
Some professional or blue collar folks are stuck until their industry calls them back. This is why my savings is my #1 priority.

I specifically said my cousins had the option to continue working but they took time off work and claimed covid so got unemployment while chilling at home. I’ve already said I feel for the ppl who legit lost their job but you’re too much of a hoe and clung to a few words and got emotional. Damn you’re a dumb ass.
