Damn that veronica mars movie only made like 2 million opening weekend

This didnt cost 100 mil. Theyll make their money back and then some at the end of the day. Surprised it did this well ive never been interested in watching the show and didnt realize it had that kind of fanbase

The movie was released in only 291 theaters, and the only thing the studio paid for was the promo. Not to mention it was same day VOD. I'm not a fan of the show and have only watched maybe 2 min of an episode but strictly from a numbers standpoint, that's a win for the studio especially since that 2 million doesn't count VOD numbers. This was for the fans so the movie already made its money at this point..anything else is just gravy
