Hourly. After Christmas supposed to get days off but if you new you supposed to work 7 days and that's in the process center where they just sorting mail. Better than delivering which would be a nightmare I imagine.

My lady worked it for a while but I made her quit because it's too grueling. She wanted extra money and I told her if u wanna try it do it. Had the house to myself for a while which was coo but shyt was crazy and they don't give a fukk about your health or well being. It's fukking nuts over there but money was good cuz of double time and half on holidays. Ain't worth your sanity tho.

The Post office does pay on COL..
The problem with that is (like with most workers in this country)..
It’s not enough for the coast..
California/Washington state are in need of carriers but the pay isn’t enough to even afford a one bedroom..
CCA start off at roughly $18.56 down here in Texas..
But they work damn near 7 days a week..
For two weeks then they have a break in service..
RCAs(which is a carrier in plain street clothes) start out roughly around $16.50-$17.00..
And they also work 7 days a week..
Sometimes 3 weeks of the same schedule until a day off..
That is also depended upon size of office..
The amount of carriers, etc..
Regular City Carriers can cash out within 6 figures during this time..
But the problem with all this..
You have supervisors constantly on your ass to make times and delivery quotas..
You also have to deliver tons of mail( which 90% is garbage)
You have to have 100% scans and be off the street by 7pm or by dark..
A lot of people think the shyt is easy..
The job isn’t what kills you..
It’s the office stress(not all but majority offices are filled with power tripping supervisors)..
Lying ass customers..
The amount of fukking useless shyt coming from Amazon( dog food, toilet tissue and other bullshyt..
Trying to cover a hole in your life..
Or..
Just being plain lazy
Then you get harassed and talked to like a robot..

I don’t know about the UK culture..
But calling in at any of these companies..
Is frowned upon..
Muthafukkas be trying to work these 12-16 hour shifts to not only prove something..
But they also don’t want to be harassed or written up the next day by a supervisor..
I used to be one of those carriers that took pride in no days off..
Until three years ago when I got sick and now my back is going out..

I have a passive income coming in..
Plus I’m transferring and just don’t care anymore..
A lot of people believe in this illusion of working hard to prove something..

People just have bills/debt..
Unfortunately..

You really don’t see it until you start losing your health and mind

But their knees are bad and they drinking everyday just to get by..

But just an insight on what delivering packages can do to you..
Again..
There are carriers that genuinely love this(I used to be one myself)..
But 15 years of being ten toes down and facing your mortality..
Nah..
Trying to get this money up..
Move to the country and live in peace
