Here come the simps. If you think he's trying to say that men should be allowed to abuse women, then you need to get your ears cleaned. He made a very sensible statement which is, people shouldn't be allowed to come out decades after the fact throwing accusations at people when there's no way to prove guilt or innocence because any evidence or proof is long gone.

That's like me going to the police and telling them that you stole my car 10 years ago. Even if you really did steal my car, they would laugh me out the police station and rightfully so because I should have said something THEN.
Abuse and car theft are not comparable. Car theft is cut and dry. Abuse has a emotional and psychological element to it that could take years to get over. To say you should have come forward then is to not understand what the hell you're talking about. That's beyond the fact that if you do come forward especially against someone successful there is the you're lying you made it up assumption off jump.

People don't realize it at all...hell even if you come from a big city and got beacoup kin..you bound to run into family.
When I was a young horny teen, I was getting at this chick who I knew since 4-5 and she moved away for about 10 years and came back

So I’m sitting on her porch talking with her, and her grandma comes outside

Started talking to me asking me who my ppl were.. told her who my grandma was and she looked at me and her and said oh yall know yall cousins??

Me and her looked at each other like :merchant:

I feel like trying to draw a parallel between rape and getting your car stolen is kinda stupid.

Because a man should be able to get away with it? In many cases its difficult for a woman to come forward with abuse allegations. It's just not so simple. There's immense pressure on them to just be quite and put up with the abuse.

Perhaps he should be arguing men shouldn't be abusing women instead of that they should be able to get away with it.

Doesn't take much courage to tell ducktales decades after alleged events....

The reason many women don't come forward right away is because of FACTS such as it being exceedingly difficult to prosecute rape cases, shame, etc. This increases several times over when you're dealing with a famous person who has the resources to potentially have you blackballed, threaten you (and loved ones potentially), can afford lawyers to turn your life inside out and bring out every mistake you may have made. Given Cassie's story, if you really think that it would be that easy for her to just come forward at the time given Diddy's immense power then you just have some kind of mental block when it comes to this issue. Victim advocates recognize these factors which is why grace has been given to come forward on these matters. It doesn't mean a woman is automatically telling the truth, and the matter needs to be fully investigated but the idea that there is automatically something amiss when a women comes forward years after the fact is erroneous and that kind of mentality protects predators.

In this specific case, why do you think he settled so quickly? It's because there would be EVIDENCE that would be able to be disclosed via discovery such as finding the escorts and interviewing them, any witnesses to him beating her, interviewing Kid Cudi, messages she may have saved and numerous other things.

What a clown mentality that you have to be.a "simp" to point this out.

While I do sympathize and think a time limit is the wrong way to go, reporting abuse when it happens is strongly encouraged. That goes triple for rape. Every day you wait makes your side in the case harder to prove via DNA evidence. Plus you're letting the guy go free to keep doing what he doing, and you never know when the next abuse episode could end up being murder.

I don't know if coddling folks to report shyt years after the fact is the responsible thing to do. People should absolutely report ASAP
