That would be in the same time period as a lot of the HBK vs Bret stuff, so we would've missed out on that

I'd rather have that and all the fukkery its given us over the years than HBK vs Savage as a long term feud
HBK didn’t feud with Bret for the title til 96. Savage and HBK could’ve wrapped up their feud right on time for HBK to still beat Bret at WM 96. Maybe they would have to shorten the feud a bit but it would’ve been the perfect setup for HBK to become champ.

HBK was obviously a GOAT-tier ring worker but a lot of people didn’t really see the 220 lb. former half of The Rockers as too credible of a champ at the time, especially when nobody great ever put him over. A series of great matches with an established legend like Savage would’ve made his initial title push more legit.

I don't know about a 2 year feud but they could've had a feud that went up to WrestleMania 9 instead of Macho on the mic and Shawn vs Tatanka. The feud could've been built with Sherri talking shyt to Macho on some you could never be the man that Shawn is and Shawn saying to Macho how he will be the greatest IC champ there ever is and Macho is an old dinosaur from the cartoon era.

"So what happened? Pat Patterson says, 'well Randy, we're having a youth movement and the best thing you can do is to stay on the microphone.'"

It’s such a bad decision. What better way to show that there’s a youth movement than to have Shawn Michaels beat Macho Man in the middle of the ring?

Two years might've been a LOT... but it could've made for a solid long-running thing that centered around Savage wanting to put hands on Michaels but not being able to due to his status as a commentator, which would finally conclude with a Mania match. It could've definitely worked in say, '93-'94... would have surely made Michaels a future main eventer in peoples' eyes, not that the ladder match with Razor didn't do the same, but possibly to a higher degree.

HBK/Bret was not a good feud.

and they nearly drove the WWF into bankruptcy.

they always hype up that weak ass iron-man bout but never mention how the arena was half-empty during their match.
