the thing about republican governors in these small nothing conservative states out west like alaska, wyoming and idaho is they dont have to do anything. in fact the less they do the better. people there are so conservative that as long as the governor just cuts spending wherever, theyre good with it. almost everyone there is white so throw a bunch of racist dog whistles in there for good measure. and in states like alaska people are pretty rich so they dont mind cutting social services as much. the poor people there dont have the numbers to form a real opposition

the only real way they can get in trouble with their constituents is if they get caught up in some corrupt government project or using government funds for themselves - which is what happened to palin
