you're missing the significance of obama's re-election. he embodies the potential of black men, of black women, of black people systematically victimized by this country. you can't disassociate the rise of obama from the greater struggle of black people. it's part of the war within which we find ourselves fighting....and dying. so, yeah, black people are suffering more than we were even four years ago. we're hurting. because we are being victimized by a brutal system of of white supremacy. obama managed to fight that system and win re-election.

of course black people are rejoicing at seeing cacs frustrated. we are at war with these people. so, i see nothing wrong with feeling refreshed at the sight of frustrated cacs. there's no paternal subtext there. instead, it pleasant relief after an exhausting battle that saw us as victors.

How do you know how black people feel about the election? We make fun of white reactions on here because its funny and those threads do numbers. Black people voted for Obama to see him win, not see white people lose. Most black people don't hate Whites the way whites hate us. Racism is really a white american thing. well, i don't know about you, but his win inspired me. i'm already on my grind, but his win only bolsters my passion to succeed in the face of this racist system. i think that you're dismissing the substantive advances we as a people stand to gain from his re-election -- let alone what we have already benefited from.
