Sending him to an in-patient treatment center where he can have PROPER treatment and supervision and other children can be protected from him is not being “thrown away like a stray dog”.

If he goes untreated, it will continue, and escalate. One of the kids from the Duggar family was moldering his sisters, and then a family friend. His “treatment” was manual labor for a church, and prayer. He grew up and had a sexual addiction with porn and escorts. Then they found a bunch of child porn on his computer.

I don’t even know if treatment is effective to be honest. Some people just have a taste for depravity.

It does make me wonder how this type of behavior begins tho. Especially with the Duggar guy, what made him want to molest his sisters?

The church isn't equipped for this, but families like that wouldn't want their kid in the system because they start asking questions.
