When I lived in NY I always saw on the news of people in southern states going nuts at stores in the days leading up to the storm. Had me like thank god I don't have to deal with that here in NY. Early days of COVID is the closest I ever came to experiencing anything like that up top. I didn't go shopping in the days before Sandy so IDK what the stores were like during that time.
