Simmons isn't bad. The set up is annoying because it's just a bunch of gossiping bytches who clearly play with the ESPN trade machine during commercial breaks.

From a technical, writing, and knowledge perspective, he's not bad.

But from a television and entertainment perspective, he's terrible. Some people just don't belong on TV. They don't have the voice, the look, the charisma, et cetera. Bill Simmons is one of those people. The guy is just hard to watch.

Personally I don't think it LOOKED nearly as bad as those 2.
