This thread is lies upon lies. Why do people think they know about the A and never set foot on Atlanta soil.

The projects they shut down where dangerous, I believe perry homes, east lake meadows, and techwood were among some of the worst and they did not let dudes just set up shop in their neighborhoods.

It was common knowledge you couldn't just roam East lake meadows if you were not from there or knew some people.

They went to ATL because drug prices were waaay more expensive in ATL back then, because the city wasn't as big of a trafficking hub as Miami was. So dealers from major drug hubs like NYC, LA and Miami were migrating to smaller cities in within their regions(LA dealers migrated to Vegas/Seattle/St.Louis, NY dealers migrated to Philly/DC/B'more, Miami migrated to ATL/New Orleans/North Carolina). ATL was ripe for the taking because coke wasn't as readily available for the community in ATL as it was in Miami. Miami boys had a direct pipeline from the Colombian connection, so they had leverage over local ATL dealers. That's not to say articles didn't exaggerate, or that ATL dealers weren't killing Miami dealers. Ya'know how that goes....

Atlanta ain't really "like that"...you don't see atl nikkas doing that shyt in other cities because of it. It is a wizard of OZ street scene like Los Angeles. The TV and the nikkas will tell you one thing...real life will tell you another. Ain't soft, but it's not Detroit, chicago, etc.
