I think my picks last night did alright! Jeff Green anyone? Hope I helped a few of you win some cash.
I'll edit this comment with the new write up tomorrow.
Good Morning everyone! Ive gotten quite a few positive messages about last night and im glad I was able to help some of yall out! If you ever feel like donating just uh...hit me up.../s.
But seriously today we have a pretty good slate. After two days of BS 5 game slates we get this 8 game monster. Although with the Heat and Jazz facing off its more like a 7 game slate. Last night in my search for 300 DK points I ended up with 295. If I would have played Jeff Green like my brain screamed at me to do...it would have been 325...fukk me right.
As usual these picks are for DK GPPs and more specifically I make them for DK single entry GPPs as my bankroll is tiny and I wanna get it into the triple or even quadruple figures.
**PG:**
Pay Up: **Dame Lillard $9,400** - Dame is on fire lately and gets one of the sweetest matchups possible tonight. BKN plays at break neck speed and simply refuses to play any semblance of defense what so ever. I am much happier paying Dames 9.4k tonight than Westys 10.8k.
Mid Range: **Kemba Walker $7,000** - I dont normally go very contrarian, I understand you want to avoid chalk in GPPs...its just very low on my priority list when I make my picks. I want the most points possible for the salary I have available. All that being said Kemba might be a very contrarian pick tonight. Everyone knows his home/road splits. You normally only play him at home. But someone has to keep CHA in this game against BOS tonight and if anyone does it, its gonna be Kemba.
Value: **Lou Williams $5,200** Lou Will could crack 30 minutes tonight. That is very good for him in DFS purposes. PBev is out and Austin Rivers is questionable. Even if Rivers plays Lou will probably see damn near 30 min. He's only seen 26+ minutes twice, his last 2 games and hit 5x in both of them.
Deeper Value: **Patty Mills $3,900** - I wont write too much here as this game is shytty for fantasy purposes but...Patty Mills has seen a huge minutes bump and DK really hasnt caught up with his price yet. Today be gets to face off against Eric Bledsoe fresh off the plane in his first game as a Buck. I like that match up.
**SG:**
Pay Up: **Devin Booker $7,700** - There are no "studs" at SG tonight, but Booker is as close as you can get IMO. This game is going to be very scoring heavy, which Booker will love, and Orlando isnt the best at defending the wings. Anytime PHO is in a fast paced game against a team with mediocre to poor wing defense you need to consider Booker. He can drop 40 real points on any given night.
**Evan Fournier $7,200** Its taken a while but Fourniers play has completely changed my opinion on him. Last year he was very boom or bust with most of the games being busts. This year...hes a god damn monster. It helps that this game is by far the most fantasy friendly of the night. At his current price Fournier has hit value all but 3 times this season. Load him up.
Mid Range: **Austin Rivers $5,300** - As I write this I see news that Austin Rivers says he's going to play. If he does, hes a good pick at his current price. I dont think that Austin is really all that good at basketball but at his price, with the minutes he'll see and his role in that offense I think he is a high floor low ceiling pick tonight. Expect 5x if you pick him. I like picks like this because they are points you can count on when trying to build for 300.
Value: **Terrence Ross $3,500** Im going to mentions quite a few Magic players in my post today. No you should play them all. I usually only try to roster 2 people from one team. If Rivers is you 5x lock in this slate, Ross is your wild card. The way I see it its 50/50 he either scores 7fpts or 27fpts. At 3.5k in this matchup that is a risk you can easily afford.
**SF:**
Pay Up: **Giannis Atentokounmpo $10,500** This is a spot where we can get my favorite for NBA MVP at a price reduction and ownership reduction because he's acing the Spurs. Now, there is a lot of great plays today so I understand if you dont want to pay up here for Giannis, I understand and I may not do so in my lineup either. Im just saying dont be afraid to if you want too. I really believe that Giannis is match up proof and without Kawhi playing the spurs dont have anyone who can defend this man.
Mid Range **Aaron Gordon $7,600** Another Magic? Yeah...look you can roster any Magic starter tonight and have a pretty good chance of them crushing value. Im highlighting Aaron Gordon here because he is SF eligible on DK and I have other PFs I want to talk about. Tyson Chandler is out, and there is no way Alex Len or Chriss/Bender can compete with Gordon in the paint or on the perimeter.
Value: **Evan Turner $4,200** - I like Evan more than Wesley Johnson tonight. Evan Turner is a much better basketball player for 1, and for 2 he's in a much better matchup. There is a decent chance that the Trailblazers play a lot of small ball tonight giving Turner plenty of burn.
**PF:**
Pay up: **Blake Griffin $8,600** - This is a pick based a lot on price, 8.6k is just too cheap for Blake by about 1k. The entire offense flows through him. At 8.6k he's hit or exceeded value 8/10 games this year. If you found your value elsewhere this is a good spot to pay up.
Mid Range: **TJ Warren $6300** - TJ is the ultimate boom or bust for tournaments. Ever since Eric Bledsoe stopped playing he has seen his usage% sky rocket and is just a much bigger part of the game plan. Like ive stated a few times, this game is going to be scoring heavy and the spread is pretty close. This could easily be a spot where Warren goes off. I liked him better when he was priced in the 5's because he can, and will, put up some fukking duds, but tonight his price is justified.
Value: **Jerami Grant $3,500** - Dont look now, but Jerami Grant is OKC's minutes leader off the bench even getting a minutes break last game at 19min he still hit 24.75fpts. Im not sure if he is a guy flying under the radar still at his price point he is very, very rosterable.
**C:**
Pay Up: I dont see any C's worth paying up for tonight as I think there is good value in the mid and low range. I think Drummond will be very highly owned tonight and should have a decent game. He's pretty set at 40-45 points a game right now, so if you want to go that route I do not blame you one bit but I would rather have...
Mid Range: **Jusuf Nurkic $6,800** - If there is one rule ive learned early into this season its this **PLAY SCORING BIGS AGAINST BKN** Seriously Jokic just dropped 75fpts on this team. Nurkic isnt as good or as used in his offense as Jokic but the rule still applies here. Nurkic is my lock of the night and I will be building my roster around him.
**Pau Gasol $5,800** Another team to target when choosing centers is MIL. They are simply horrible and last in the league IIRC when it comes to rebounding. I think Pau is locked for a double/double tonight and should pay off at his price.
Value: **Dewayne Dedmon $4,200** - I love me some John Collins, but Dedmon is the starting C for ATL and is $900 cheaper tonight. We all know Drummond can get into early foul trouble so while I dont like the match up against him, I think Dedmon can get a few early points at the line. With no center in the 3k range I love tonight I think Dedmon is worth a look if you need the salary tonight.
Thank you all for reading. Im working on some things right now and may start writing for a website here in the future. Ill be sure to keep you guys updated with any news.
