Although my dad wasn't perfect, he raised me into a no nonsense, determined, tough man unlike most of this generation. He will thank his dad for this when he gets older.

I mean I kind of understand where he's coming from.
Now and days social media means the world to kids.
But, humiliation doesn't equal punishment. Seems like the Father did this because it was funny to him, not as a sincere form of punishment for his grades.
He could have had the same effect if he took over ALL of his sons social media accounts and posted "This is (x's) father and until he get's his grades up, he will no longer be using twitter, FB, etc" With no pictures.
I mean what is this kid realistically going to learn from this? "Oh I better get good grades, or my hairline is going to be fukked up?"

A cause that doesn't always have the effect you want it to.
I grew up with a kid who wasn't going to graduate HS and waited until the last few weeks to get serious about it.
Why? Because his mother said she wasn't going to buy him any new clothes if he didn't. What kind of fukking motivation is that? AND he didn't graduate btw.
