Did Sony/Columbia pony up the $15 Million DJ Paul & Juicy J was asking for to make a new Three 6 Mafia album? :dwillhuh:

No I don't think so. That's why Paul changed the name. I think he got a new deal with a new distributor outside of Sony as long as he changed the name

If Juicy J agreed to make a new Three 6 Mafia album, then they are contractually obligated to be under Sony. They are still obligated to make one more album under the Sony contract

If they try to change the name, but still have the original 6 members that signed that original Sony contract. Then I guarantee you Sony lawyers are going to hit them with that work.

Sony doesn't care about mixtapes, but if they release an album. Then they are fukk. Paul and the other 4 members can release an album under another name because that is not technically Three 6 Mafia. But if Juicy J joins them, then it is technically Three 6 Mafia. DJ Paul was explaining this on Sway in the Morning.

I might be in the minority...but i'm kind of not wanting them to get back with Sony...if they do you can kiss this sound on the mixtape goodbye and it's right back to that Laddi Daddi bullshyt
