OKC really likes Roberson. They see him as the new Thabo. He's also on the rookie contract. That's probably not happening. Two observations from the other night.
I watched Walter Taveras with the Bakersfield Jam and I'm encouraged by him. I was watching him on the defensive end, always finds his man to box out and is pretty much ready in the NBA from that standpoint. Of course being 7'3" he's not fluid as an athlete, but I think he'll be ready to provide as the 4th big next season.
I know casual observers are starting to know him now, and not because of his offense but Andre Roberson is the type of guy who could take his game to the next level in Atlanta. He's rangy, can defend, rebound, and most importantly KNOWS HIS GAME. He provides little on offense, but under the tutelage of our player development staff I think he can improve. Thoughts?
Edy is a couple of years away but once he is there, he will be good.
