Is it safe to say Rondo is better than Derrick Rose? I mean really. D. Rose had a nice year last year, but on the low, Rondo has been the best pure PG for a couple of years now. Right up there with Chris Paul who has been banged up.

Rondo gives them problems because he sets up everyone else. They're not gonna put LBJ on him because he'll just feed Pierce all day. Rondo has given LeBron problems as a defender too. Last year LeBron couldn't do anything when he took Rondo into the post. I know he's worked on his post game but he really hasn't shown it since early in the year.

I could see that series going 7. I could even see Miami needing to force a game 7.

I think Boston is and always was a bigger threat to the Heat than Chicago. Miami should still come outta the East but I think their road just got a little tougher.

Clearly it woulda been more difficult than a Rose-less Bulls squad or Philly. Or at least more grueling if Boston did win.

And by guard him, I mean give him a 10 foot cushion and basically ask him to shoot a jumper while he roams and plays safety for the Heat.

Rondo was hurting them boys last year. And this year in the regular season. Rondo was serving the Heat with one arm in the playoffs last year. Miami was up 2-1 when he dislocated his elbow, but stayed in the game and tied it up at 2. Then he missed the next 2 games, both of which Miami won.

All this "just throw so and so on him" talk is ridiculous. First of all, they still can't stop him, and secondly, whoever they put on Rondo will have to switch with Chalmers so you leave Chalmers on Allen or Pierce? Rondo has been and will always be a bigger threat to Miami than Rose.

Derrick Rose is aight but he's only had one real good season. He was hurt all year this year (). He's an undersized 2 guard with no jumpshot who's gonna break down quickly because he lives in the lane. Meanwhile, Rondo is a true PG who defends with the best of them and gets triple doubles on the reg. Definitely Rondo > Rose. All day.
