D.L Hughley is much more funnier than Chris Rock.

Chris Rock is sohh much funnier than Hughley it's laughable to even try to make a comparison. I did recently gain a new found respect for Hughley after a recent interview he had on Howard Stern. He gave one of the realest interviews I have ever heard from a comedian.

I'm not a huge fan of either one of them...but I will say chris rock is GROSSLY overrated.

Didn't like Hughley for the longest until some of his material came on my pandora station. He's funny for the most part, but he's not touching Rock. But then again, not many people (past or present) can.

:comeon: DL was the comic that just roster invisible peoPle in the audience. Chris rock to a degree would break down (for lack of a better term)the black culture and make it funny. "everyday I look in the mail for my OJ prize--nothing"

I feel like DL relies a bit too much on nostalgia or something.

"When we was growing up"....I feel like I've heard him say this a bunch of times.

Chris Rock practically single handedly brought back excitement over stand up in the 90's...and is on that classic, historical level (Maybe not Pryor/Murphy/Carlin/Bruce tier, but he's historically important).

I was at DL's last comedy special.....actually fell asleep at the taping. He's always been just ok to me.......but he's a cool dude I met him personally. He's actually a mentor to one of my friends who's a comedian.

No way is DL touching Chris Rock tho....not even close. Chris Rock just has those memorable lines that are forever embedded in your mind.

I swear I met Jermaine Durpi and instantly started laughing in my head thinking of the shyt Chris Rock said about him.

Is this thread a joke? DL has never been that funny to me and like others said he always repeats the same jokes and when all else fails he goes in on the audience. He can't compare to Chris Rock.
