dude has bars, but I don't think he has it in him to make an album I can sit thru. I don't like his voice at all to be honest. and maybe that's why he's been slaving away as a ghostwriter all these years.

Yea im not so sure about him being able to carry a whole album. Even his best tape BHP1 kinda started to drag about 6-7 songs in

And his voice is kinda iffy...i dont mind it but i could see ppl not messin wit it. He need to stop doing that huh thing he does all tha time

His pen game is unfukkwittable tho

Only issue is 2 Chainz had dumb it down a lot to get on.

You want Cyhi to do tha same?.....i already heard dumbed down Cyhi(tha Lord lord lord) song and it wasnt good.

Im rootin for him tho, hopefully he can get tha right single or feature to get his album poppin

I dont know about that man...Tity boy was trash and so is 2chainz. I remember having this discussion years ago about how the dude blew up but never improved lyrically.

I'm rooting for him too....We watched Kanye revive, Common, Pusha and Jay Z....

Tity was trash too dont get me wrong...but he was more lyrical then than he was as 2 chainz

Also Common, pusha and jay had a career to revive. As dope as Cyhi is, he only has a marginal mixtape/ghostwriter career. Tha average listener/casual has no clue who Cyhi is.

That was thee 1st song I heard from him, I strongly doubt he's dropping anything that sounds like that in 2017

Cyhi's pen game is top 10 out of tha new MCs but this is wayyyyyyy too late.

Blac Hystori 1 was one of the best mixtapes of tha 2010s and he has a lot of buzz from it but that was almost 3 years.

He shoulda dropped his debut when he was still buzzin

Tha last thing he did was tha scripted, failed Ye diss and that flop he did with K Camp(fuc happened to him)

I hope this sells for him but i have severe doubts.
Kanye wants to keep his main ghostwriter around but has to throw him a bone to keep him from getting disgruntled
He didn't have buzz like that because the follow up was wayyyyyy forgettable..he still not consistent imo....he always had real hip hop heads attention but just if he dropped album when the first black history project was popping...he still gonna do Stalley numbers :yeshrug:

I doubt he does serious numbers regardless, but he would have had a much better chance if he dropped right after BHP1....all prob a moot point anyway bc his style doesnt fit todays zeitgeist and he's not good at dumbing it down neither

This album is just to Ye's attempt to appease Cy so he doesnt leave tha team
