:ooh:

"You lame ass nikkas can't get no three-five from us
3.14 cause you nikkas pi as fukk"

CyHi can spit but he comes off like a southern Lloyd Banks on this album so far, the content rarely deviates from the trappings of trap rap and neither does his delivery. The lyrics are very sharp but he's not saying nothing particularly interesting, a stronger delivery could have compensated for that imo. On top of that the lyrics themselves feel oddly not personal, he's chalk-full of artful punchlines, alliteration, plays on words, etc. but it didn't really resonate on a souful level to me. Soulfulness is typically a strength for southern emcees, CyHi left me a little cold by the time I got halfway through this album :patrice:

you do realize he lived/raised in a trap house? what do you want him to rap about? :wtf: he talks about africa, the ghetto and love on this with the obvious drug talk.

I wanted more soul tbr, it's not a bad project by any means but it feels like he's going through the motions imo which is a shame because he can obviously spit.
